Julie Legg was nominated by a former patient’s family: I first want to say to Julie, thank you for your selfless service to my mother and all family and friends that visited my mother while she was a patient at St. Francis Hospital CCU. Julie you were more than a nurse to me and my family. You were a bridge between my family and the rest of the hospital staff. You went above and beyond what you had to do to make sure we felt comfortable and you aided us in any way we needed assistance. I am especially grateful that you took the time to make sure we were will informed of what was going on with my mother and always made sure we got answers to questions we may have had. My family and I are so pleased you were the nurse assigned to the care of my mother for the short time she was in the CCU ward. Unfortunately, my mother only survived for a short while when she was moved to hospice. I want you to know the last hours of my mother’s life were made a lot less stressful because of your calming and caring spirit. My hope for you is to continue to be a blessing to others as you have been to me and my family. You are a person who is truly living in your life’s purpose!
