I am in the midst of a complicated and frustrating experience of purchasing a CPAP machine! I am overwhelmed by the details of locating the proper model! Equally challenging are the options for proper payment to qualify for Medicare and insurance coverage! If an error is made the user is responsible for payment and it is very expensive equipment! It is so overwhelming that I considered abandoning treatment. This medical endeavor is due to a recent diagnosis of Alzheimer's. I made one last effort for help. I returned to the Sleep Clinic. There I recalled a helpful nurse, Julie. She immediately ushered me into an empty office. She quickly understood my frustration. My immediate concern was locating a CPAP machine. One that complied with all the regulations to qualify for financial coverage. Nurse Julie said, "No worries, this afternoon I will get the required documents out of your file and fax them to a known helpful CPAP supplier. One that would provide proper equipment, set it to my personal settings, and help when needed." Nurse Julie was a bright star in a dark sky! I so appreciated her kind, thoughtful assistance. She is most deserving of a DAISY Award!
