The warm caring compassion shown to my husband prior to the procedure he was having was so comforting to him, even during a lengthy wait time. He was kept entertained by Julie’s bubbly disposition and conversation as she went about her work. Although he was “just waiting” his anxiety was prolonged and with her periodic checking in and making him feel like priority one.


Julie Mosher’s most significant contribution to our organization is the warmth and spirit of her heart. She is so full of caring and friendliness that it goes far beyond the OR department. Her genuine charm, charisma, and gentle character is just as contagious in the hallway or cafeteria. Our values of caring, compassion and kindness are represented every day by Julie, whether it’s to a patient, co-worker or guest.


I have been inspired by Julie’s outstanding depth of love for all people as long as I have known her, but when I saw her in action when my husband was a patient, I knew she was the best candidate for any such award for extraordinary nurses. This is her calling and purpose and Stewart Memorial Community Hospital is better for having her on our team.
