Last fall, Julie and her co-worker, Kelly, were caring for a patient who had fallen on hard times and recently became homeless. Knowing it was cold and going to get much colder, Julie knew something had to be done. On their own time, Julie and Kelly shopped for warm clothes: coat, snow pants, hat, scarf, golves, and even food. They did not ask for donations, however their co-workers gave as they learned about their selfless act. Kelly even made sure the patient was showered before discharge.
