Julie and her colleague were recognized when they demonstrated compassion in their communication and approach to a difficult clinical situation. A patient's wife nominated this well-deserving pair as they were able to calm her when her husband was having an adverse reaction post-anesthesia. Julie explained things and consoled her as she was very worried when she experienced a husband that was not himself. The nomination detailed that Julie truly got this patient's family "through a very difficult time". Julie and her colleague demonstrated key concepts in which the profession is built on: compassion and care!
