Julie shows her leadership by practicing the RRH values every day. She serves as an expert clinician, role model, and flexible team member. I always know if I have a question or want to bounce an idea around, that Julie will have a listening ear and beneficial input. Many times, you will find Julie helping the nurses on the floor by administering blood products, putting in an IV, helping with a difficult lab draw, filling any role in a code, or assessing a patient that the nurse is concerned about. She goes above and beyond the standard duties of her role as ACC to ensure that the patients receive the exceptional care that they deserve and that the teams are supported.

She will always volunteer to flip her shift from day to night to ensure that the coverage for ACC is 24/7 on the off shifts. The things that Julie brings to the ACC team enhance not only our team of leaders but the unit leaders and the bedside nurses as well. She always knows what’s going on with the patients on the floor and is quick to help with transporting patients from the ED to ensure that bed movement is fluid and timely. The Eastern Region team is lucky to have Julie as a leader who gets right to the bedside to provide expertise, mentoring, and role modeling to the Eastern Region nursing team.
