Julie Sandlin, RN is Winchester Hospitals most recent recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses after a patient nominated her for making her feel "comfortable and at ease." In the nomination the patient wrote that she was very scared of her upcoming surgery, but after her procedure Julie stayed by her side, encouraging her the whole time. "Throughout the night, Julie was by my side, maintaining my dignity and making me feel better."
