The ICU had a very sick patient. The patient was admitted for over 40 days. The first two days discharged the patient was sent back to our ICU because the facilities couldn't get this patient's vent settings correct. Julie, who was providing excellent care went above and beyond to ensure this patient's next discharge was successful. Julie went with the patient to the LTAC and made sure she had the right vent settings and the patient and family were comfortable with this new facility. Julie continues to visit with the patient and family to provide support! The patient is doing well and her condition is improving at this facility. It is inspiring to see Julie provide this amount of support and encouragement to the patient and family. Julie is truly a gem! I'm happy I get to witness this kindness.
