Julie Stoll, RN

Julie Stoll was on the night shift as the Charge Nurse for my grandmother. I understand that all Nurses do what they can to protect their patients and give them the best care and Julie kept humanity in mind while she did that. Julie was laughing, smiling, and joking all while maintaining her professionalism and keeping my grandmother at the center of concern. This was the night before we were putting my grandmother in comfort care, so Julie knew we would be losing her soon. She made a decision that allowed our family to spend more time with my grandmother; time that we could never ever get back to spend with her right at the end. Julie was such a sweet and effective Nurse, but what she really did was remind us that medicine can include humanity and it doesn’t always have to be about loss and sadness. Julie is someone who will see the family as people and treats them as such, especially at the end when that really matters. Thank you so much, Julie! You made a huge difference for us that night!
