My husband was a patient at WakeMed. In a long stay where much is a blur, Julie was a standout. She was his nurse for 3 days in CICU. She helped him when he was very sick with a GI bleed. She helped navigate the tests, procedures, doctors, and advocated for us. She helped us on the worst days of our life. Her words of support and compassion are greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
