Julie VanPelt, RN

My son had an amputation on his right leg. This was his first time in the hospital since birth. Needless to say, the experience was frightening and confusing, not knowing what our journey would look like or what steps to take. I saw a familiar face, Julie VanPelt, and asked her if she would assist us, especially my son. She talked with him and told him what steps he could take to help him with his anxiety and pain. Julie has a soothing voice and demeanor, plus a pleasant and reassuring face that makes you feel that everything is going to be alright. In the end, my son and I were laughing and had a great experience here at Miami Valley Hospital.
