Julie has received several nominations for the DAISY Award. Her most recent nomination was from our Breast Cancer Care Guide, after Julie cared for a patient facing the worst possible situation, while still in her 20's.
"Even though I have worked at West for five years I just met Julie in May when unfortunately one of my breast cancer patients was admitted and spent her last 5 days. Julie was her dayshift nurse on the first day. She was incredibly compassionate and spiritually in tune with the situation and circumstance. I want to publicly thank her for her professionalism demonstrated not only to the patient and her family but to me as well! Julie, I have a new respect for the nursing profession because of you!!
