March 2010 Honoree
julie wilkins, RN
Julie was nominated by ICU fellow Alexander Stoffan, MD. In his nomination he explained why Julie is so deserving of the award: “I think she is a fantastic nurse, and the more I work with her the more I think this. I have known her since starting my fellowship in July. She consistently takes some of the sicker surgical patients, and for that reason I have worked with her closely all year. Some specific traits that make her such an outstanding nurse are that she is always calm, intelligent, and thoughtful.” In addition, Dr. Stoffan described Julie’s interactions with the team to be “friendly, enthusiastic, offering multiple helpful suggestions, and always being the first to be prepared for the next step in care.” Congratulations to Julie for making a difference in the lives of her patients and her great collaboration with her team.
Thank you, Julie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
