The other night as I was saying goodbye to Julie as we were leaving the unit to go home for the night, she told me she was running to Meijer to buy hair cutting supplies for one of her patients. This patient was sad they were going to miss their hair appointment because they had gotten sick and were now in the hospital. This patient had very long hair.
When Julie got to Meijer all the hair clippers were sold out, so she improvised with pet cutters that worked ended up working perfectly. Julie spent 2 hours with him cutting his hair and talking with him about his life. Julie is truly living our values!
