Julio Alarcio, BSN, RN, CCRN

One morning the patient assigned to RN Julio suffered a Code Blue. No family was present because they went home to Santa Barbara with the knowledge that the patient was showing signs of stability and progress. The patient, a 38 year old mother of two, was coded three times as family indicated a desire to see her and be with her when she passed. Julio's efforts were heroic in his communication and his quick action. The patient died in the code but Julio retained his composure throughout.
