Julio, We are so excited to present the DAISY Award to you! This is what your team members had to say about you: Julio always has a sense of calm no matter what is going on around him. One day in particular Julio encountered a situation where a family member was terribly upset by the care her mother received and after just being discharged from the hospital, she returned to the ED terribly upset and demanding. Julio greeted her and she remembered him by name, and he instantly calmed her down. He helped comfort her mom and take care of all of her needs. The patient’s daughter and I connected the following week and amongst everything that happened she wanted to be sure Julio was recognized for his ability to care and comfort in a time of need. Julio is a servant leader to his team and patients.
