It has been almost two years, but I can still vividly remember the care I received from June. I was sent to the Women's Center from the office after we were unable to hear my son's heartbeat. My husband and I sat in the waiting room because I couldn't bring myself to go into the delivery unit. June came out to the waiting room to gently coax me into the room. She walked me through the motions, I was too numb to think. Soon I was lying in the bed and June was back the next morning when labor started to really progress. June knew what I needed, even when I didn't. She sensed when the pain was too strong, when I was ready to give up. She encouraged me to keep pushing. She held my hand, wiped my tears, gave me hugs, and took pictures that I will forever treasure. June seemed to never leave my side. She was my voice when I couldn't even think, my advocate through the toughest day of my life. June is an extraordinary, kind, encouraging, and loving nurse. All who receive her care are incredibly fortunate.
