June's roll in the CVICU as an RN IV can sometimes be taken for granted. She does so much behind the scenes for the unit. She is completely dedicated to her position and doesn't stop until things are done, even when that means exceeding her shift. She is constantly juggling meetings, committees, nursing responsibilities, staff mentoring, educating, patient assignments and any other task or jobs that anyone asks of her, even if she's not the point person. She will always go above and beyond for the unit. She is a huge advocate for our patient population, letting her voice be heard and even challenging decisions when that may be difficult, if it is in the best interest of the patient. She exemplifies professionalism at all times and is the true definition of what a leader should be. We could all learn and take away something by working alongside her. June is an extraordinary nurse, beyond providing excellent patient care. The CVICU is a better place because of her, and we are lucky to have her as part of the leadership team.
June is an exceptional nursing leader and can always be seen in the CVICU with a bright, cheery smile.
