June Peterson is a lecturer at UMASS Boston and has specialized in emergency and trauma nursing, as well as nurse education. One of her recent students wrote: "June is so passionate about teaching and also about being a great nurse... Everything that she does is engaging and gets us excited about what is to come. She presents her material in different ways so that people with different learning styles will be able to get the full benefit of her class. She always tells us a story from real life so that we can relate what we are learning in the classroom. ... June is always encouraging us to give back to people who are in need. You can tell that she has such a big heart and will always lend a hand to anyone who needs it."
