There are countless encounters that I have witnessed with Jun providing exceptional care to her patients, and I’m sure there are many more that I have not witnessed. Not only does Jun show compassion to her patients, she utilizes that compassion to ensure that all are providing the best care for each patient. She closely monitors their lab values and greets each patient in the facility as if they were being welcomed into her home. Jun communicates with the families/care partners of each patient to facilitate a culture of continuity and collaboration. Jun takes the time to make each patient feel special and cared for and utilizes her caring behavior to provide ongoing education. In the area there are multiple patients who have special needs, June takes the time to ensure that those needs are addressed and followed up on by other members of the interdisciplinary team. The positive energy that she brings to the facility is contagious, and everything she does is performed with her heart. It is clear that she is a shining light to patients when at times it is their darkest moments.
