My Dad was recently a patient in the ED. He is a diabetic and was admitted for hypoglycemia, hypothermia, and pneumonia. His nurse was Justin Brenneis. Justin was very professional and took superb care of my father. He introduced himself and the team, communicated with us frequently, answered questions, and also followed-up on suggestions. There was a lot of activity in my father's room due to some complications and Justin functioned very competently, which put us at ease. My perception of teamwork among Justin and his coworkers was also very good as they frequently communicated about blood sugar checks. Even though the shift was busy, Justin was always available when needed.
While there with my father, my daughter remembered that Justin was her nurse when she was in the ED approximately two years ago. She commented that she knew that "Grandad" was in good hands. Referring back to her ED experience she mentioned that Justin was very understanding in regards to the pain she was having and assisted in a timely manner with getting the necessary treatment and consultation.
