He takes care of patients who are unable to communicate at times, yet he talks to the patient in a respectful manner as if they are fully present during any care at the bedside.
Have you ever met someone who immediately makes a huge impact on your life? Who has so much compassion and mercy for those around you that they inspire you to follow their lead? We feel Justin Carroll is the best employee at Orangeburg Hospital deserving of the DAISY Award. This outstanding nurse has gone way above and beyond in his nursing skills while taking excellent care of my husband after he suffered a stroke. My husband has been very frustrating for him. Justin quickly responded anytime my husband needed anything with a friendly, helpful, and reassuring attitude. I have been in several hospitals helping care for family members through the years and I feel has by far exceeded with excellent care for his patients than I have ever witnessed from a nurse. My husband and I will be forever grateful for the way Justin assisted both of us in adjusting to this changed lifestyle.

Justin exhibits excellence when it comes to customer service for patients. He takes care of patients who are unable to communicate at times, yet he talks to the patient in a respectful manner as if they are fully present during any care at the bedside. He treats all families as if they are in a five-star resort. He constantly meets all the families' needs at the bedside. I have seen him exhibit the traits of a gentleman getting chairs for families. It is amazing to watch him treat families as well as patients. I have spoken to multiple families and they continue to speak of Justin's demeanor. One family I transferred to PCU for Justin stated they wished they could keep him as their nurse. The family and patient didn't stop talking about Justin's care the entire time during the transfer. This is a continuous process that I see every day with him. He maintains professionalism in a friendly manner. He makes RMC a better facility by presenting himself as a servant to our patients and their families.
