Justin treated J with respect and strove to find dignity in a naturally undignified situation.
My husband, J has been a patient at the VA for some time. He came in with extreme respiratory distress, among other complications. He was greatly confused because of what was going on and for the first couple of days, I was not sure if he would be himself again. It was beyond stressful for us both in our own ways. However, we were lucky to have a guardian angel. I feel so fortunate that Justin was J’s nurse for the first critical days. Not only did he take consummate care of him, but he always took the time to console me and to calm my fears. He was constantly watching over J and making sure he was comfortable and safe. He treated J with respect and strove to find dignity in a naturally undignified situation. He saw through J's confusion to see the person he is. I am sure that we could not have found a more caring, kinder, more professional, or more understanding nurse to go through the beginning of this traumatic experience with if we tried. We will be forever grateful. He is outstanding, and the VA is lucky to have him.
