Justin was my day shift nurse. I feel he read his patient very well. He made sure I had what I needed while giving me adequate space. He checked on me frequently with sometimes a simple request with a thumbs up through the window. I really appreciated this and demonstrated that Justin really cares. Justin was responsive and action-oriented. When my lab schedule did not adhere to what the doctor described it was finally Justin who took immediate action and got it resolved quickly. After lying awake most of the night worrying about the trend in my lab results, and the frustration of addressing it with multiple staff, Justin solved the problem quickly, got me encouraging lab results, and a successful discharge later in the day. I appreciated Justin’s honesty, integrity, and genuine concern for me. I understand he is doing the work to improve his skills. These are the people we should treasure and recognize. It is the work, the accomplishment, and the caring attitude that Justin demonstrates that earns my respect and my request for your recognition of him.
