July 2026 Honoree
Justin Wallace, RN
I had a surgical fusion from C3-C7, requiring a month's stay in the CCU. My nurse was a compassionate young man named Justin. I am 60 years old and even at my age I can be somewhat shy and inhibited, especially when cares are performed by a male.
Justin showed me the utmost respect and dignity. He was especially patient and kind. He understood where I was emotionally and physically and made sure nursing tasks were accomplished but not at my personal expense. He was so kind. In just a few moments, Justin had my trust as my caretaker. He was confident and could answer all my questions.
He was engaging and talkative, though I knew he was very busy on the night shift. He performed his job with a bounce in his step. You could tell he loved what he was doing. No matter how many times I rang a bell for assistance, he greeted me cheerfully.
Thank you, Justin, for the excellent care.
