Dr. Waryold truly has a passion for teaching the next generation of NPs. He incorporates stories into his lessons, provides fun ways to learn different topics, and radiates energy, demonstrating his passion for this profession.
Dr. Waryold is a great role model. He not only demonstrates great intellectual skill but also kindness, compassion, and interest in his students and patients. I have never heard him speak ill about a situation unprofessionally. He displays how all should act: compassionate and courteous.

Dr. Waryold is one of the most respectful teachers I have ever had. He treats us as learners with mutual respect, which makes him a great teacher. He values our opinions, our feedback, and the fact that we have lives outside of being students. He is constantly asking how we are doing and what he can do to make our learning experience better.
Dr. Waryold makes a teaching environment that allows us to grow in our confidence. The thought of becoming an NP was very overwhelming. He showed us that we not only have the ability to become NPs but also never doubted our abilities. He has never made us feel less than if we weren't grasping a topic well and instead tried different strategies. This has allowed us to blossom into confident graduate nurse practitioners.
When I have been at previous institutions, there have been times when I have noticed some students being favored over others. I have never noticed that with Dr. Waryold. He treats us all equally and truly wants the best for all of us.
Dr. Waryold has excellent interpersonal skills. The three that come to mind are leadership, active listening, and communication. In a post-pandemic world, a lot of schooling has become virtual. That can create a sense of disconnect between teacher and student. When it comes to Dr. Waryold, I have never felt disconnected as a student. He is constantly communicating with us weekly, if not multiple times a week. He always asks how we are and actively listens to our concerns, frustrations, etc. Dr. Waryold is a great leader and shows us students how to become great future leaders.
My cohort has had Dr. Waryold for three semesters as a professor now. Over the course of the three semesters, we all have expressed how much we have enjoyed working with Dr. Waryold. He has created a great relationship not only between student/teacher but within our own cohort.
I truly believe that Dr. Waryold is one of the best teachers I have had. He has made learning fun, shows us that it is okay to make mistakes, that not everything is so serious, and how to truly enjoy what you do for a living. He provides compassion with his students that is rare to find in college/graduate level courses. I hope to be not only like him as an NP one day, but as a co-worker and teacher, as well.
