April 2026 Honoree
Justine Cox, RN
I'm not a patient, but I work with Justine here at Swedish, and when I was new, I made some mistakes. Instead of putting me down, she talked to me face to face and gave me tips to help me improve. I truly appreciated that, and it showed me that she was different than others.
Not only that, but there was an instance where we had this younger patient who was here for a nosebleed, and I called her, and she came into the room, and just the way she handled the situation so poised by calling the rapid and calling the doctors and directing everyone. Also, Justine carries herself as a very strong woman, but the way she was talking to this patient in such a sweet voice.
I love working with her. There were times when I've had patients yelling at me, and she's stepped in to defend me. Justine goes above and beyond to provide cluster care for her patients; she's an advocate for them. She's an RN who is very knowledgeable about her work, and if I were a patient in the hospital, I would want her as my nurse.

Thank you, Justine, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
