April 2019 Honoree
kacey cottrell, RN
Kacey was our nurse one evening and my husband had been in the hospital for four days already. I was sleeping in a recliner. I jokingly said, Kacey, you don't happen to have a mat I could put on the floor to sleep on? She said hang on a minute. About ten minutes later, Kacey returned and asked us to pack our things because we were moving. Of course, I started bawling as soon as she moved us to a bigger room with a bed for visitors. We have been in the same room ever since. She went above and beyond to not only make my husband comfortable but also myself. This meant the world to me.
Thank you, Kacey, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
