February 2026 Honoree
Kacey Frank, BSN, RN
I came into this blindsided. I felt lost and confused. My baby was just gone. I didn't know what the next step was or who was going to be taking care of her as I could. But then, I went to see my daughter, and I was greeted by Kacey's smile, her natural feel; something only I could feel.
I would never have rested, never have left my baby there at peace, if the initial interaction and connection weren't there. From her, I learned and felt comfortable enough to sleep, eat, and let her do her job. I knew my child was in the best care. For once in my life, I knew she was better than me, and I was okay with that. I knew she was going to treat my child like her own.
God put her in our lives for a reason. He equipped her with the knowledge and tools to take care of my child. I prayed over her and my child. He knew the battle I was up against, and he put his best soldier in line. I will forever be thankful. She saved my mental health. She healed so much in me and brought me peace.
Thank you.
