I just wanted to drop you a quick email to tell you what an excellent ICU nurse Kaci is. She’s working today, taking care of a very sick patient.
 
He had some serious injuries, and there was a lot of hysteria about whether he needed surgery or not. He could’ve crashed at any moment. But every interaction I had with her, she was calm, informative, fully aware of every aspect of his care, had excellent suggestions for test or interventions. I was back and forth between multiple patients in the hospital, and I can’t express how reassuring it was to know that his care was in her hands when I couldn’t be there. In fact, a couple of times during the day I was beginning to panic, and she was able to very calmly and professionally talk me down from the ledge.
 
Please let her know what a great job she’s doing. And please hire more nurses like her. She’s smart, she anticipates problems, she’s constantly thinking about what she can do to better care for the patient. She speaks up for patient care. She has an excellent work ethic. She follows up on everything. She’s able to work really hard while appearing completely relaxed and comfortable.
