My mom entered the emergency department with complaints of lower extremity pain. My mom has experienced several medical emergencies before, including a cardiac arrest, which led to hypoxia and an anoxic brain injury. Due to this, my mom has severe anxiety when it comes to emergency departments and any workup with those visits. Kady was phenomenal in calming my mom's fears as well as my dad's fears, who has anxiety surrounding the hospital as well, because of what my mom has gone through.

Kady is compassionate. She is kind. She listens, and she exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated nurse. Kady handles herself with grace. If it were not for Kady and her advocacy for her patients and families, I do not believe my mom would have been provided the necessary diagnosis to ensure that further complications would not occur. Every team member in the hospital should strive to have the demeanor, attitude, and compassion that Kady does.

I have had experience with Kady as a nurse for two, now deceased, family members who had nothing but wonderful things to say about Kady. These two both received compassionate care while they were admitted to the emergency department. With both of these wonderful women mentioned above, Kady did everything she could to make them laugh when they were both suffering from terminal cancer. Kady also listened to both patients' complaints and history with a compassionate ear and asked appropriate follow-up questions. Kady ensured that both patients were heard and cared for. Kady is a huge asset to Mason District Hospital.
