Kady is a gifted and talented nurse who works with our residents on the Memory Care unit with severe dementia and Parkinson's Disease many of whom are at the end of life. As a provider, I am constantly in admiration of the kind tireless, and outstanding care and support Kady gives to all of her residents and their families. She exercises astute clinical judgment and juggles countless daily tasks while effortlessly remembering the names of family members and the details of the social context of patients' lives before they came to memory care. She somehow has the ability to create a homey atmosphere with her presence while always the professional nurse imperceptibly assessing and evaluating her patients with a sharp eye. I rely on Kady to help me to give the best care to patients and I am always learning more about how to care for residents with dementia by working with her. During her time at Helen Porter, she has made a positive difference in hundreds if not thousands of residents' and families' lives. From making time to stay in the room with a family whose loved one is dying to remembering which flavor nutritional shake is a resident's favorite Kady is a rare gem. We are extremely fortunate to have her caring for our Memory Care residents.
