Today, I witnessed Kae go above and beyond to make a patient's family feel special and heard. A patient had been intubated for a few days, and the family was having a hard time coping. So Kae typed up a note to give to the husband to give to the patient when she woke up, stating how the husband has stayed hopeful and by the patient's side, writing in a notepad about their time here in hopes the patient will wake up and read the notes both Kae and the husband have written her. I feel like this is very thoughtful of her.
