I was admitted in to the hospital on a Saturday due to complications with my pregnancy. I was due to deliver at the end of the week. Nurse Kahdijah was my night nurse and she did everything in her power to make sure I was comfortable at night going through this scary time. Fast forward a few days later, my son was born. She was the evening nurse on staff and she had heard about me almost losing him and wanted to check on me. During that time, we noticed that he had turned blue in the face. She quickly stepped in and got him to the NICU. She waited and ensured she could give me some information on what was happening with my son. She has been there every step of the way with him while he continues to be in the NICU. She is awesome, a great leader, a great nurse, and a comfort. She deserves this award. I wish there were more nurses like her.
