Kaia works in the operating room at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and was nominated by her manager who described one particular event that demonstrates Kaia's dedication to delivering excellent patient care.
A patient arrived in the OR and suffered a cardiac arrest. While Kaia was getting the necessary equipment to help with the arrest situation, she fell and, unbeknownst to her, broke her arm. She continued to provide care to the patient by doing chest compressions and helping her team during the resuscitation.
Kaia has a positive attitude, is always open to learning and is an invaluable member of the OR team. Congratulations Kaia, and THANK YOU for making a difference in patients' lives.
