Today was the first time I met Nurse Kelly. We are transitioning from another pediatric office. I was so impressed right when I met her. I am an RN. She did not know that and still doesn't but to me, I see things in the medical world differently than what my husband would see. I saw, when I first met her, a Nurse who truly loves what she does and knows how to make a first-time family feel welcomed and comfortable. The appointment was for my 4-month old son for his wellness checkup. We ended up bringing our 2-year-old with us and even though it wasn't her appointment, Nurse Kelly was so kind and thoughtful to my daughter. She took her and got her a sticker and made her feel comfortable as well. She went above and beyond in making me and my husband know what was going on. I felt like I could ask her anything and not be brushed to the side. She answered all my questions thoroughly and kindly, never making me feel like what I was asking was not important. As an RN, I appreciate the care and kindness she showed my son and all of us. When we were leaving, I even had another question for another one of my children and she listened, not trying to get me out the door but actually gave me amazing ideas for that child. I cannot wait to come back with all my children and establish a great connection with this hospital and our new doctor. She made this momma/RN feel safe and secure with kindness at heart. Well done Nurse Kelly, well done!!!
