We had a patient on the unit for over a month due to Covid complications. Each nurse got to know him personally and even made him a birthday card, due to his birthday being during his stay. Kailey was his nurse close to the day he was being discharged. The patient's one request was to have a shower. She packed his stuff up, put him in a wheelchair, and found him a shower room on another unit to take a shower. Once back on the unit, he stated he slept the best he ever had throughout his stay. Kailey truly made his stay so much better and even allowed him to feel like a human again after Covid. She is truly a compassionate and outstanding nurse.
