I received a call from a Sheriff Deputy that wanted to tell me about how Kailey performed "heroically" in a terrible situation. Kailey was at a local shooting range enjoying some target practice when she heard someone yell, "No, someone call 911!" and then a gunshot. Kailey ran toward the shot fired to find a person with a self-inflicted head wound. She held pressure, trying to stop the bleeding, and yelled for an AED, which was not available. According to the Deputy, everyone stood around in horror while Kailey cared for the person. When no pulse could be found, Kailey did CPR for 12 minutes until EMS arrived. Kailey's bravery and effort were very impactful to everyone there. It speaks volumes to her compassionate character.
