My 83-year-old mother was diagnosed with lung cancer that spread to the brain. Our family is very small with just one daughter and one granddaughter. We were so shocked at this evaluation and Kaitlin was an angel of mercy and comfort to us. My mother's biopsy resulted in a collapsed lung and we had a week's setback of hospital care. Kaitlin's nursing skills and compassionate care meant everything to us. My daughter from KY called to speak with Kaitlin while traveling to get here. She was never too busy to educate us and give us hope. Mother's second biopsy will be tomorrow and before Kaitlin left she was still answering with words of hope to dismiss our fears. Her smile and perky personality were a delightful pleasure and her knowledge of nursing skills was extraordinary.
