Kaitlin Goetz, RN

Nurse Kaitlin in the neuro ICU is a superhero among your many wonderful heroes. My brother passed after nearly 3 weeks in your ICU. When we learned there was no possibility of recovery, we knew life support needed to be removed and we hoped his organs could be harvested. Nurse Kaitlin had worked many days in a row and asked to take a shift so that she could be with our family when he passed. She even went down with us to the OR so she could be with us as he was taken off of life support. Three of his organs were harvested that afternoon and which was a silver lining during a difficult time. Nurse Kaitlin helped ease our sorrow and showed kindness and compassion like we’ve never experienced before. We will always be grateful for Nurse Kaitlin and all of the heroes who work at St. Louis University
