Having a baby is not only physically but emotionally draining. Having a baby in NICU adds a whole new level of stress to new parents. I was lucky enough to have Kaitlin as my post-partum nurse three nights in a row. While in the hospital, there were many examples I could give of Kaitlin going above and beyond her duties as a nurse. She has an exceptional ability to make her patients feel special and taken care of and her bedside manner is outstanding. While in recovery, my baby was taken to the NICU for low blood sugar. I did not know she would be there for an extended period. Sad and stressed, I was lucky enough to be greeted by Kaitlin as my post-partum nurse. She helped me clean up, found me a wheelchair, helped me get in the chair and personally took me down to the NICU to see my baby just hours out of surgery. When she took me down, she checked on my baby and came back to pick me up 20 minutes later. Kaitlin went above and beyond the call of duty. Her compassion for me and my new baby was unexpected but greatly appreciated. She is extraordinary!
