On this visit, we are facing the unknown. Things we've long believed about our child's health have changed. We're having to start over to figure out what is happening. In the midst of a storm of "I don't knows" as we tried to figure out what is happening to him, our nurse, Kaitlin Pavlik, asked something profound. She asked a question from a perspective different than anybody else on the team which sparked a chain of conversation and thought, taking us in brand new directions. She looked beyond our conversations based on the past and asked, "what if?" With one question she opened avenues to be explored and tossed a little hope into that unknown sea. Thank you, Kaitlin. Kaitlin is one of the most professional, kind-hearted nurses I've ever met. She takes great care of her patients and always is willing to go above and beyond to advocate for them. She truly values family-centered care and puts the relationship of her family and her patient at the forefront of her care.
