Katie is a DAISY Nurse for her patience, compassion, and empathy towards her time-consuming end-of-life cancer patient. Katie took time out of her busy workday to personally bathe, lotion and massage her restless, uncomfortable patient. She clearly and professionally explained the importance of self-care and the need to push towards the patient's goals. Katie understood how important it was for her patient to get strong enough to return home to visit with her granddaughter while she was visiting. Katie defines the title of a nurse!
