I was admitted to BRMC, not knowing if I would actually get to feel the sun on my face again. I had asked and was denied by several staff members if I could just, please go outside to feel the sun. I do understand the policy and wasn’t upset by the repeated denial process of it all. However, I did receive something just as comforting and beautiful as the sun. My care team, Kaitlon came into my room and said you can’t go out to the sun so I'm bringing the sun to you and presented me with a beautiful sunflower... words cannot express my gratitude for having such an amazingly thoughtful nurse make my day brighter.
