My name is Kristy Hinojos, my boyfriend (the love of my life) was placed in the ICU a second time. We ended up getting a nurse by the name of Katie. She's the overnight nurse. Words cannot express how awesome she is! Katie explained what she was doing and even though we did not understand she didn't give up or quit trying, she made it a point to make sure we understood. When it came to care, words cannot express how AWESOME she is. Although my boyfriend was in a coma, she talked to him and explained what she was doing as if he was awake. The shower she gave him every night was done with love as if he was her family. The care and attention we got made us feel like we mattered. She took the time to clean EVERY part of his 460lb body, down to the hair on his chin. Miss Katie will forever hold a special place in my heart. We cannot thank her enough for her time and attention. She is by far the best and a nurse with a heart of gold. You all need to know what kind of people/Angels you all have on the 3rd floor department. Thank you again.
