I had a procedure done at Gettysburg Hospital and stayed for post-surgical observation (overnight). Kaitlyn was calm and soothing as she settled me into my room. The procedure I had done was to repair damage that occurred years ago. For the past two years, I have experienced conditions that were mortifying. I could not go anywhere or do anything without fear of accidents. both fecal and urine. I usually had only a minute or two warning before "all hell broke loose". I became tense, fearful, anxious, depressed and angry. I lived in a state of shame and in a private prison of my own making. I was a mess!

I said that Kaitlyn settled me into my room because it was during my time with her that the anesthesia fog dissipated. The time I spent with Kaitlyn was the most pleasant time I have experienced while in the hospital and I have been hospitalized many times. Kaitlyn's care made me feel terrific, even as I was bleeding and catheterized and looking like hell. She was sure to keep my pain under control and there was nothing I could ask that she wouldn't do. Aside from my body she started the healing of my soul. She certainly meets the old and honored label. "Angel of Mercy".

Thank you, Kaitlyn, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
