Kaitlyn recently took care of a very sick patient who transitioned to end-of-life care. Kaitlyn created a rapport with the family and stayed past her shift to make sure the transition to end-of-life care went smoothly and that the family was comfortable. Kaitlyn did an amazing job ensuring the patient was comfortable and looked like himself for his family to see. After the patient passed, the family expressed their gratitude for Kaitlyn and told staff that she was the one who got them through this rough time. I would like to take a minute to thank Kaitlyn for her excellent patient care. This is a true definition of what it is to be a nurse. Thank you Kaitlyn for your strong and compassionate work!
