I actually hated to leave her. She made me feel safe and cared about.
When I arrived in my room from the emergency room, I was very emotional as I was in significant pain. Kaitlyn was very compassionate. She was very caring and really wanted to ease my pain and get me what I needed in a timely manner. The entire time I was there, even though I was a rather easy patient, she would always peek in and check on me, and make sure I was doing okay.
The day I wanted to be discharged, I had to really talk the Doctor into letting me leave. At the time I was speaking to him I was free of pain, but as I waited for the discharge to be completed, I started to have the pain again. At that point, I was reluctant to say anything to the doctor, so I said to Kaitlyn I’m afraid I’m starting to have pain again. She looked at me and saw the concern because I was making it for our car trip to Virginia, my home. She looked at me and said I think I might be able to get you a pill to help you feel more comfortable on your way home.
I was very surprised she would be able to do that, as I was almost totally discharged. I asked her how long it might take and she said it might be five minutes. Well, she made it happen in less than five minutes. I actually hated to leave her. She made me feel safe and cared about. Thank you, Kaitlyn. You are the sweetest!
