Kaitlyn deserves the DAISY Award for going above and beyond, and for the compassion she shows in her job. She was our delivery nurse for our 1st son a year and a half ago, and on May 15th, she opted to come in for her shift instead of taking a call to help deliver our 2nd son, knowing I was scheduled for induction that day. She made it just in time, as shortly after her arrival, he made his appearance. She captured pictures for us that we will forever cherish. Unfortunately, he also had to spend some time in the nursery, and she stayed with him until he was cleared to be roomed with his dad and me. Her work performance and personality represent what Jacksonville used to be known for- "Passavant Area Hospital, Friends Caring for Friends".
