My husband has recently been diagnosed with early-onset mild cognitive impairment with Lewy Bodies. When you are diagnosed at a younger age, you notice your support system growing extremely small. When words such as Lewy Bodies are tossed around, people tend to get uncomfortable. Kaitlyn was our nurse for a recent surgery. She was phenomenal. Upon finding out the diagnosis my husband had, she continued to direct all questions to him, and treat him with great dignity and respect. She was calm, patient, and very respectful of his dignity. We were concerned as patients with early onset of Lewy Body Disease struggle with the lasting effects of medication. She took our concerns very seriously and didn't treat any question as too "silly" or as a waste of her time. We have been on a four-year journey to get a diagnosis for my spouse. It has been hard. When we run into caregivers who continue to treat him with respect and care, it makes it that much easier. Kaitlyn is also a new mom. As educators, we know how absolutely exhausted she must be and how full her plate is. We appreciate the extra steps she took in providing us with phenomenal and compassionate care. We can definitely tell she is going to be a fantastic mom. Jackie Oliphant, family of Roger Oliphant

Thank you, Kaitlyn, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
